With the release of IBM Lotus Notes Domino 8.5.2 came many exciting new features, one of which is the XPages Extensibility application programming interface (API). It is the notion of extending the core XPages controls with customized controls. The XPages Extensibility framework allows developers to expand upon existing XPages capabilities, build their own artifacts, and move beyond the out-of-the-box features that come with XPages. It allows developers to create and provide their own solutions.
