Abstract

It examines the security breaches at retailer Target and security firm RSA Security to illustrate different types of cyber attack. It also examines the concept of social engineering, discussing how it is aided by the information people give away freely on social media. It concludes with recommendations for both businesses and consumers to better protect themselves.
