Saying No to Distractions

It’s 11:30 a.m. Paul is meeting with his potential client for lunch in an hour’s time. Before then he wants to work out what resources he will need if he wins the credit card project. He has sent off his proposal, but hasn’t yet worked out some of the details: who should be on the team, how he would structure the team, and the time line for delivering the project. While he is confident he can do the job, his basal ganglia detect a pattern. Though he can’t put words to it, there is something bugging him, a subtle, weak connection from deep in his brain.
