When Everything Seems Unfair

The phone rings. Paul lets it ring longer than he normally would. The day has been rough, and his limbic system is on high alert. He picks up the phone, hoping for a wrong number. No such luck. It’s Ned.

Paul and Ned worked for the same consulting firm for several years before each deciding to go solo. They toyed with the idea of partnering up, but decided to run independent firms and collaborate instead, with Paul designing software strategies and Ned providing the more detailed software coding.
