Chapter 6. Connecting to a Wireless Home Network and the Internet
If you use a notebook PC at home, chances are you want to connect that notebook to your home network. It’s also a good bet that your home network is wireless, and that you want to connect your notebook without cables, wirelessly. And, while you’re at it, you want your new notebook PC to share your existing Internet connection.
No problem. All of this is doable—and quite easily so.
Setting Up a Wireless Home Network
This isn’t a home networking book, so there isn’t space to go into all the details involved in setting up a home network. That said, there is space to provide a brief overview, just in case you don’t yet have your own wireless home network.
