Just because your notebook PC is a portable computer doesn’t mean you’ll always be using it on the road. Most people use their notebooks quite often in a typical office or home office setting, just as they would a traditional desktop PC.
When you use your notebook as a desktop PC, it’s easy to get frustrated by some of the limitations of the notebook form factor. Small screen, cramped keyboard, touchy touchpad—they’re all side effects of producing a small, lightweight, portable computer. Fortunately, these side effects can be alleviated, which lets you turn your notebook PC into a true desktop workstation.
