These were the thoughts that haunted me. They ached deeply inside. No amount of work or play would distract me before the longing would begin again. No other people, amount of money, or degree of shopping—no alcohol, medication, or addiction—no adventure, experience, or achievement would satisfy the hunger of wanting to be completely, utterly loved and cherished.
