During the last few years I have been extremely fortunate to meet thousands of ordinary Americans (and Canadians) at book signings and public lectures all over North America. During the receptions and cocktails that are inexorably associated with these events, I have had the opportunity to hear from many individuals about their financial successes, their woes, and travails.
