Weak Language: Cut It Down


It is better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt.


Here is the biggest tip in the whole book. If you learn this, and apply nothing else but this next chapter, you can improve your communication by 20 to 30 percent.

In English, the word is um.

In French, it’s euuuhh.

In Japanese, it’s eto.

Every language has some versions of um.

Why do we say um?
