Overview

Have you ever had to fend off massive DDoS attacks? Have you ever had your website hacked because a bot crawled your site for vulnerabilities and exploited them? Have you ever had credentials leaked that were then used to boot up servers that cost you $10,000 per hour? A lot of bad things can happen on AWS and this video course will teach you how to prevent that from happening.

This is not your average boring AWS Security course. This animated course is designed to quickly take you from zero knowledge to an AWS Security Ninja, with illustrated videos that will help you visualize and make the concepts stick. We will begin with the fundamentals of AWS security, covering IAM roles and permissions. From there, we'll move on to setting up secure VPCs and using Security Groups to firewall your services from malicious traffic. Next, we’ll explore securing sensitive credentials with AWS Secrets Manager and the SSM Parameter Store. Finally, we'll dive into advanced security tools, such as using KMS for encryption key rotation and AWS WAF to defend against threats like DDoS attacks.

What you’ll learn and how to apply it

  • By the end of this course, you will understand how to use basic, intermediate, and advanced AWS Security tools to protect your cloud applications.
