I've presented the eight steps in a row, as if they happen one after the other. This is a helpful way to understand the creative process, especially when you're just starting to realize your inner creative potential. But to truly master your creative ability, you need one final skill: the ability to bring together all eight steps to move you forward on the zig zag path.
