One of the first questions I get from an OEM is, “How does ZigBee compare to wireless technology
X?” So before I get into the technical details of how ZigBee works, perhaps it would be good to spend a bit of time on what ZigBee is really good for, what it is not good for, and how it compares to some other popular, competing networking technologies. I have seen plenty of companies trying to shoe-horn ZigBee into a problem space that just doesn't make sense for the technology, and I'd like to help you avoid that.
