It’s folly to think that Zoom will rest on its laurels. It simply can’t. After all, many deep-pocketed competitors are ready to pounce should Zoom fall from glory. Beyond that, should another company build a fundamentally better mousetrap, Zoom can expect mass customer defections. After all, the very same thing began happening to Webex after new videoconferencing tools started lapping it.
Over the course of its storied history, Zoom has significantly improved its flagship offering and introduced new ones as well. And this trend won’t abate. That is, Zoom will get smarter and even more useful in the coming years, especially now that it has largely revamped its security.
