GenAI Superstream: Agentic Workflows for Enhanced Productivity and Project Success
Published by O'Reilly Media, Inc.
From chatbots to reusable agent-driven workflows
Modern work is inescapably project-based. Everything from managing complex strategic initiatives and launching products to spinning up a side hustle is a project. We know AI can help, but too often we’re stuck asking chatbots simple, one-off questions instead of leveraging them to manage the complex, multistep coordination required for more noticeable gains in productivity and project success.
This GenAI Superstream is designed to help you move from scattershot chats to more effective, reusable agent-driven workflows. You’ll learn how early adopters across the enterprise are using no-code tools to deploy autonomous AI agents that deliver tangible results, significantly improving project planning, predictability, data and risk management, and stakeholder communication. We hope our AI specialists will inspire and empower you to build agentic workflows that meet your unique needs. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of how to work more effectively with AI, boosting your productivity and improving your project outcomes.
What you’ll learn and how you can apply it
- Move from simple, one-off prompts to designing effective, reusable agent-driven workflows that handle complex coordination
- Identify high-value use cases to automate with agents and start building them with popular tools like n8n, Copilot in Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace
Recommended follow-up:
- Take AI Agents for Everyone (live online course with Altaf Rehmani)
- Take Microsoft 365 Copilot for Building Agents and Automating Busywork (live online course with Henry Habib)
- Take n8n AI Bootcamp: Building AI Workflows and Agents From Scratch (live online course with Tobias Zwingmann)

Introduction – Ricardo Viana Vargas (5 minutes)
- Ricardo welcomes you to the GenAI Superstream.
The Present and Future of Agentic Workflows: A Fireside Chat with Wade Foster (30 minutes)
- Opening the conference, Zapier cofounder and CEO Wade Foster and project management authority Ricardo Vargas will break down the hype surrounding AI agents while addressing the practical concerns that keep teams from trusting AI with complex tasks. You’ll hear how agentic workflows are already reshaping project execution and productivity, why orchestrating these agents is more accessible than most people think, and what mindsets separate the organizations merely experimenting with AI from those driving real impact. Along the way, Wade and Ricardo share real-world examples and explain why now is the moment to shift from simple AI conversations to autonomous, agentic collaboration.
Identify, Scope, and Build an Agentic Workflow in n8n – Max Tkacz (30 minutes)
- GenAI has democratized automation, but many people struggle to identify what to automate with their first agentic workflows, leading to frustration rather than value. Drawing from thousands of conversations with SMBs and enterprises navigating this shift, Max Tkacz of n8n shares a practical framework for identifying agentic workflow opportunities and scoping them down to shippable first versions. You’ll learn how to apply this to your own processes and see a live example of taking a real business problem from idea to working automation in n8n. You’ll learn how these small, autonomous wins create the compounding momentum needed to drive larger agentic transformation across your organization.
Break (5 mins)
Scaling Yourself: Building an AI Chief of Staff with Agentic Workflows – Aydin Mirzaee (30 minutes)
- Busy ICs and leaders at every level are drowning in an endless flow of information and meetings, leaving little room for strategic thinking and decision-making. Aydin Mirzaee of Fellow.ai demonstrates how to take control by creating and orchestrating an “AI Chief of Staff”—a suite of personalized AI workflows and agents that scale leadership capacity across strategy and execution. By automating meeting prep, sifting email, synthesizing customer insights, and providing strategic decision support, you’ll design your AI Chief of Staff to prioritize systemic delegation. You’ll also design the guardrails and review loops necessary to safely offload routine work while preserving human judgment. This session will acquaint you with reusable blueprints for embedding a durable AI operating model into your everyday workflows so you can focus on what matters most.
Taming Information Chaos: Agentic Workflows for Project Success with Claude Code – Mark Kashef (30 minutes)
- Projects often grind to a halt because critical information is scattered across messy documents. Mark Kashef, founder of Prompt Advisers, shows you how to tame this chaos by deploying agentic workflows using Claude Code, with no coding required. Mark demonstrates how you can point an agent at a folder of random requirements and data and allow it to onboard itself to a project and automatically generate crucial outputs like risk flags, contradiction reports, and updated documentation. You’ll come away understanding how to transform a jumble of information into a single source of truth for enhanced productivity and project success.
Break (5 mins)
Building No-Code Mini Apps with Google Opal in Less than 10 Minutes – Marily Nika (30 minutes)
- Productivity often stalls not from a lack of effort, but from the friction of manual, repetitive tasks that sit quietly in the background of projects. We often don't notice these bottlenecks until we slow down and combine our creativity with technology to look at the problem with fresh eyes. Dr. Marily Nika, GenAI product leader at Google, demonstrates a process of discovery and experimentation powered by Google Opal, a no-code environment for building agentic workflows. You’ll learn how to transform a creative spark or intuition about a workflow gap into a functional, mini AI application in less than 10 minutes.
Workflow Evolution: Scaling Productivity with Gemini and Google Workspace – Donato Meli (30 minutes)
- In today’s fast-paced digital environment, professionals often find themselves reacting to an endless stream of emails, meetings, and “pings” rather than driving meaningful progress for things that they deem important. Donato Meli of Google Cloud’s Global GTM team explores a paradigm shift in productivity: bringing generative AI directly into the heart of your working platform. With Google Workspace and Gemini, Donato demonstrates how to transform your communication and collaboration tools into an intelligent command center. Discover how embedding AI where the work actually happens—within your documents and conversations—empowers you to focus on high-value creative work while the busy work handles itself.
Agentic Workflows in Action: Jira as a Practical Example – Filipa Peleja (30 minutes)
- AI agentic workflows represent a shift from rule-based automation to intelligent systems capable of observing, adapting, and acting autonomously. Rather than simply following predefined rules, these systems function like evolving assistants—learning from real-time context and improving over time—much like a coworker growing from junior support to experienced contributor. Filipa Peleja, lecturer and senior manager of data science and AI, demonstrates how Jira can serve as a key tool for tracking, managing, and coordinating AI-driven workflows while addressing the governance considerations necessary for deploying agentic workflows safely.
Closing Remarks – Ricardo Viana Vargas (5 minutes)
- Ricardo closes out today’s event.
