Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is the leading Linux distribution, found in companies around the world. Red Hat Enterprise Linux has always been a trendsetter and is also the foundation for many related Linux distributions, including Oracle Linux, CentOS, Alma Linux, and Rocky Linux.

In 2025 Red Hat will be releasing a new version, RHEL 10. In this new version many things have changed, which makes it imperative to know what is new in order to transition from the previous version to RHEL 10. These changes include installing applications on desktops with Flatpak, installing RHEL like a container and using RHEL image mode, and using updated AI features in RHEL 10 with RHEL Lightspeed. Get prepared to make the transition to RHEL 10 and update your skills with the new RHEL capabilities.

Prerequisites

  • Participants should have working experience with a previous version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Course Set-up

  • Students should prepare their computer with virtualization software so that a Linux virtual machine can be installed. Download the RHEL 10 full installation ISO for the latest version at https://developers.redhat.com. Look for the full installation ISO with a size of approx. 10GiB. Do not download the minimal ISO.
