A 7-step methodology for designing resilient APIs

Course outcomes:

  • Learn the seven-step methodology for designing RESTful microservices APIs
  • Explore industry best practices for API development
  • Understand microservices data management

Course description

Join expert Rohit Bhardwaj to learn a seven-step methodology for designing superior cloud native RESTful microservices APIs. You’ll see how to create designs using industry standards and best practices, and you’ll explore the Open Data (OData) protocol and learn how to create an API Gateway, perform threat modeling for API security, develop an API versioning strategy so that your REST APIs can evolve with minimal client changes, and test APIs using contract-driven testing and Pact files.

Day 1: Microservices APIs Fundamentals

Day 2: Microservices APIs Deep Dive

NOTE: With today’s registration, you’ll be signed up for both sessions. Although you can attend either of the sessions individually, we recommend participating in both.

What you’ll learn and how you can apply it

  • Understand microservices data management
  • Learn the essentials of event-driven microservices architecture and CQRS

This live event is for you because...

  • You’re an architect, technical lead, programmer, integration architect, or solution architect.
  • You are the software lead/architect responsible for designing APIs.
  • You want to become a software architect.

Prerequisites

  • Basic understanding of APIs and microservice architecture
