Andrew Hately is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and CTO of IBM Cloud Performance. Andrew leads a technical team developing and deploying both public and private clouds based on IBM’s Open Cloud Architecture. Currently, Andrew is building IBM solutions with Docker, OpenStack, and CloudFoundry. Andrew has worked for IBM in the US and South Africa on WebSphere and Tivoli products, and software strategy for major and emerging markets. Andrew holds several patents related to software design and has authored, edited, and led industry standards efforts. His primary interest is enabling rapid innovation through adoption of cloud.
