Bio

Jukka Korpela is a consultant who specializes in character codes, localization, orthography, usability, and accessibility. After graduating from University of Helsinki, he worked at the Helsinki University' of Technology (now part of Aalto University) in various IT positions and also taught programming and other IT topics there. Later he worked on IT standardization and accessibility issues at TIEKE before becoming a full-time author and consultant. In addition to the O’Reilly book Unicode Explained, he has published numerous books on web technologies and other topics, mostly in Finnish.
