Join instructor Joyce Avila as she guides you on how to get started on the Snowflake data cloud platform. You’ll learn Snowflake fundamentals and get plenty of hands-on experience using the new Snowsight web interface. You will also get experience executing SQL commands in the powerful Snowflake worksheets. After this course, you’ll be able to create Snowflake database objects, query structured and semi-structured data, create virtual warehouse and resource monitors, and manage Snowflake account access.
What you’ll learn and how you can apply it
- Gain an understanding of Snowflake core concepts.
- Create the necessary Snowflake structures for the purpose of storing data.
- Query structured and semi-structured data using newly created Snowflake virtual warehouses and set up resource monitors to monitor compute charges incurred by virtual warehouses.
- Manage Snowflake account access for users who are granted privileges via a role-based access system.

Prerequisites:
- General understanding of cloud computing concepts
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries and relational databases (i.e. schemas, tables, views)
- A Snowflake account, a trial account can be set up if needed
