Overview
Cloud computing has transitioned from virtualization and grid technology into a vital on-demand utility. This course demystifies the cloud by examining the NIST-defined characteristics, deployment models, and service delivery frameworks that define modern infrastructure. You will explore the technical concepts of abstraction and layering, moving beyond marketing terminology to understand how organizations leverage shared resources through IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
You will also analyze the security and operational risks inherent in cloud outsourcing.
