In the rapidly evolving world of software delivery, the integration of security into the DevOps process is critical in today's threat landscape. "DevSecOps for Beginners" is designed to empower individuals with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to integrate security practices into the DevOps software delivery process. From understanding the core principles of DevSecOps to practical implementation strategies, participants will gain insights into how security can be ingrained into every step of the DevOps pipeline.
This course looks at common problems such as lack of security integration, manual processes, and siloed teams. When a security vulnerability is found, it can be days or months till it is fixed and triage and remediation workflows are inefficient. We will teach skills such as what security scanners to involve at which stage, how to embed security in automated and efficient workflows, how to shift left and the importance of culture when looking at people, processes, and tools.
