Overview
In this Up and Running with Microsoft SQL Server training course, expert author Wes Higbee will teach you how to use Microsoft SQL for storage, querying, reporting, and development. This course is designed for the absolute beginner, meaning no previous Microsoft SQL experience is required.
You will start by learning how to install and setup MS SQL, then jump into exploring AdventureWorks with SSMS. From there, Wes will teach you how to answer questions by querying a database, including inspecting dependencies and foreign keys, counting results from a query, and joining tables. This video tutorial also covers advanced querying to answer subtleties, reporting from a database, and creating databases.
Finally, you will learn how to develop applications with MS SQL, including how to create a foreign key and query with Entity Framework. Once you have completed this computer based training course, you will have learned how to use MS SQL for storage, querying, reporting, and development. Working files are included, allowing you to follow along with the author throughout the lessons.
