3rd paragraph from bottom of page

THe 4th sentence in the paragraph says. 'It works according to the pattern RECEIVED(day of purchase, day of maturity, usage, repayment, basis) and returns 0.46 percent." It should say, 'It works according to the pattern RECEIVED(Settlement, Maturity, Investment, Redemption, Basis) and returns 500." The function RECEIVED does not return a percentage. So, I am not sure which function you really mean to refer to here. The last sentence in the paragraph says: "The function YIELDDISC() works the same as RECEIVED() and returns the same result." That statement is not correct. I think you mean the function INTRATE() in both sentences.

Note from the Author or Editor:

The VBA shown says: If Age >= 50 Then Feature = 1 ID = "ID17" Else Feature = 1 ID = "" End If Shouldn't it say the following: If Age >= 50 Then Feature = 1 ID = "ID17" Else Feature = 2 ID = "" End If Also right under that it has "The Ugly version" with the same info as in the first IF statement. Shouldn't that also read "Feature 2" rather than "Feature 1"?

Note from the Author or Editor:
In the second listing instead of Else Feature = 1 ID = "" it should be Else Feature = 2 ID = "" In the third listing instead of Else Feature = 1 : ID = "" it should be Else Feature = 2 :ID = ""

The first line says: "Custom functions and their arguments are also listed alphabetically in the Custom category..." It should say: "Custom functions and their arguments are also listed alphabetically in the User Defined category..." It would also help if the Sample Files sections were before the section where the subject is discussed. It makes no sense to have it after you've already explained the subject.

Note from the Author or Editor:
"Custom functions and their arguments are also listed alphabetically in the Custom category..." should be "Custom functions and their arguments are also listed alphabetically in the User Defined category..." Hint: The intention is that the reader types the code of the examples in and tries out thus. The sample files are only for checking.

The last sentence in the paragraph says that the VBA Editor is blank...but it isn't. The DVD also has some wording that is in a foreign language For instance: DieseArbeitsmappe and Tabelle1 All table information is title Tablle follow by a number

Note from the Author or Editor:
The last sentence in the paragraph is: "The large gray area is the workspace, which is still empty." The workspace is empty, that's correct. The workspace is a part of the VBA Editor, not the editor itself. At this point the workspace is empty and no module is shown. A new module will appear on the gray area, i.e on the workspace. The sample file will be revised soon.

Bullet 3 has the following formula which I thought would be the one on the DVD as the correct formula to follow for this type of comparison. =B4<>INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(B4),COLUMN(B4),,,"Accident1")) Then at the bottom of the page the following formula is listed and is the one contained on the DVD =B4<>INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(B4),COLUMN(B4), TRUE,TRUE,"[Accident 1")) First of all, there should be no space between Accident and 1 in the last formula. Which of these formulas is th one that should be used. Do they product identical results? Why in the first formula isn't all rows and columns listed?

Note from the Author or Editor:
Please change the formula on page 175 bullet 3 to: 3. Enter the following formula as the condition: =B4<>INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(B4),COLUMN(B4),TRUE,TRUE,"Accident1"))

I have done everything it says in the book and can't get the final formula to work right. Part of the problem I believe has to do with the way you have it written in the book with semi-colons separating items. I've added chartDay and chartData like you said to (I have used defined names before without problems), but when I enter them into the final formula, nothing happens. The screen won't even go off the formula bar. Please help.

Note from the Author or Editor:
Please replacee the semicolon with comma in the formulas on page 64, paragraphs 4 and 6. Right formula in paragraph 4: =SERIES(charts!\$C\$4,charts!\$B\$5:\$B\$19,charts!\$C\$5:\$C\$19,1) Right formula in paragraph 6: =SERIES(Lookup.xlsx!chartDay,charts!\$B\$5:\$B\$19,Lookup.xlsx!chartData,1)

2nd paragraph - Formula

Calculating the start and End of Daylight Saving Time =DATE(YEAR(TODAY()), 31,3)-WEEKDAY(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),31,3),2) should be =DATE(YEAR(TODAY()), 3,31)-WEEKDAY(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),3,31),2)

Note from the Author or Editor:
Please change the formula on page 45, 2nd paragraph, to: =DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),4,)-WEEKDAY(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),4,))+1 Please change the following 3rd paragraph to: DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),4,) returns March 31st of the current year. WEEKDAY(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),4,)) returns the weekday number of March 31st in the current year. So by subtracting this value from the last day of the month and adding one day, you get the date of the last Sunday of March.
