Tip #2

I found the mistake so this discovery should clear up my last post. I found that the actual name of the catalog database file is in fact catalog.pse9db Please note that it is NOT .pse8db Please inform people that they need to unhide all hidden files and folders until they can see the folder in the C: drive that says ProgramData. If that can not be seen, then a search will reveal nothing. My catalog is actuall in: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\My Catalog\ I hope this can be included in the Errata page on the web site. Thanks

U.K.

Page number 95.First para. (but most cameras create images that aren't the same proportions as any of the standard paper sizes.) Also Figure 3-7. Surely you don't have to crop a photo as it came from the camera to a certain paper size. I thought most photo printers will print to any size photo paper, i.e. 6 x 4, 5 x 7, 8 x 10, etc. Why should you have to crop to 6 x 4 if you only want a 6 x 4. As long as the aspect ratio is correct why not crop it to say 8 x 10 then print whatever size you want.

3rd paragraph (Just under "tip.")

The description of what the "Output Levels" does is opposite of what it really does. The right slider makes lighter pixels darker and the left slider makes darker pixels lighter. This seems to function somewhat like Highlights and Shadows but not as well. Your instructions make it appear there is only one slider but there are two. I don't find Output Levels very useful.
