The paragraph reads: With this change you will be able to work out whether the button is pressed with a simple digitalRead(button); and switch on the LED by writing digitalWrithis is because if you declared the variables within the setup block, you could use them only in that block. This principle applies for all blocks, and is known as visibility of variables or scope. The "...and switch on the LED by writing digitalWrithis is because..." should be "...and switch on the LED by writing digitalWrite. This is because..."	David Peach	Dec 07, 2015
