Step 7

The instruction for displaying/amending a brush GradientOrigin fields using a date entry panel shown at the top of page 56 are incorrect.

The instructions (bottom of page 55) state "click the Show Advanced Properties icon (the small white square square to the right of the gradient offset field)" but this will not work and will display the "Advanced OPTIONS" dialog titled "Options". To display the required "Advanced PROPERTIES" panel needed to follow the exercise the user needs to instead perss the Blend "expand" button at the bottom of the panel (denoted by a . with an upward-pointing arrowhead on top)

Beginning at the top of the page

The instructions at this point provide steps for changing the Visibility property of the InfoBar control by configuring a ChangePropertyAction to set the property to Visible when someone clicks on the Info button.

The steps presented do not seem to work. The xaml appears to be correct, but when the program is compiled and executed, clicking on the Info button does not cause the InfoBar to become visible.

Has something changed within SilverLight to require a different approach? If I change PropertyName in the ShowInfoBar to another property, I am able to change the property. For example I can create a similar effect with the control by using the Opacity property, setting it to 0% instead of setting Visibility to Collapsed, and then using the behavior to reset Opacity back to 100%.

Step number 23 to 25

On page 310 I think something is missing between step 23 and step 24.
Despite clicking OK on Create Data Binding > Data Context tab (not mentioned in Step 23), and after press F5, my program was not displaying each client details in four rows (rather each client information displayed in one separate row).

Chapter 11 of the printed edition uses Northwind Traders logo. However, the practice file contain a logo of AM7. While this is not a major error, I think Northwind Traders can be sustitued with AM7 logo.
