Paragraph:Set RBAC permissions for database creation

Paragraph states "You also need to be a member of the Server Management RBAC role group on the Mailbox server on which you are creating the database."

The words, "also need" are misleading. In this case, you can EITHER be a member of the Organization Management Role Group or the Server Management Role Group in order to perform the operation under discussion: create databases.

Additionally, the words "on the Mailbox server on which you are creating the database" are not applicable when discussing the Server Management RBAC role group. This is not a per server membership. This might apply if we were discussing a custom role group with custom scopes but not for the built in Server Management RBAC role group.

paragraph: Create and manage public folder databases

Paragraph states "You need to be granted the Exchange Organization Administrator role and be a member of the Local Administrators group on the target server to create and manage a public folder database."

It is incorrect to state that the administrator needs to be a member of the Local Administrators group on the target server to create and manage a public folder database. Organization Management membership is sufficient. The Exchange Trusted Subsystem has local administrative rights on every Exchange 2010 server thus an individual administrator need not be a member of Local Administrators on the target server.

Additionally, the name "Exchange Organization Administrators" is used to refer to the role group. It should instead be "Organization Management."

paragraph 8: "Answer: True. You first need to identify the public folder ..."

This is misleading since it is not necessary to use Get-PublicFolder and then pipe into Remove-PublicFolder to remove a public folder. A standalone Remove-PublicFolder works for a single public folder.

The True or false? question might be better worded: "Removing multiple user or system public folders in a tree or subtree in the public folder hierarchy by using the EMS is a two-stage procedure."

Objective 1.4 Question 2

The answer reads:
"You use the Set-MailboxDatabase cmdlet with the DeletedItemRetention parameter."

It should read:
"You use the Set-MailboxDatabase cmdlet with the MailboxRetention parameter."

Paragraph 5: Message size

Suggest modifying the sentence:

"Remember that user-level (or specific mailbox) limits take precedence over other message size restrictions."

to add to the end of the sentence "between authenticated users."

Per technet: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124345.aspx

The exceptions for the user limits only apply to message exchanges between authenticated users. If a message is sent to or received by a recipient on the Internet, the organizational limits will be applied. For example, assume that you have an organizational message size restriction of 10 MB, but you have configured the users in your marketing department to send and receive messages up to 50 MB. These users will be able to exchange large messages with each other, but they still won?t be able to receive large messages from Internet users because such messages will be coming from unauthenticated senders.

1st paragraph

Suggest changing the sentence:
"For example, the following commands add the sales@adatum.com proxy address to Brian Perry's mailbox:"

To add the following phrase at the end:
"without deleting existing proxy addresses:"

This will clarify the purpose of the syntax demonstrated to capture the existing proxy addresses in a variable and then add to them before re-applying them to the mailbox object.

Both New-ManagementRoleAssignment Examples

Neither example of New-ManagementRoleAssignment uses a role and Scope that make meaningful sense together.

The "Transport Rules" role is not scoped to an Organizational Unit. Either a different kind of scope or more likely a different (recipient facing) role would be a better choice for these examples.
