This is incorrect. Updates for iOS can be found in Device settings -> general -> software update.

In order to use the NTBACKUP on Windows XP Service Pack 3, you need to install it manually, because is not there by default..which the author didn't mention that I guess he was assuming it was there..I just wanted to clarify that
