Step instructs that if the logon account discovered in step 2 is "Local Service," the replacement text should be "NT Authority\Local Service". This is incorrect. It should instruct that if the logon account discovered in step 2 is "Local System," the replacement text should be "NT Authority\System".

Page 226, Chapter 9 about Currency Conversion

This is about Currency Conversion in Chapter 9 in the Book "Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Service Step by Step".

Following your steps, I verified the result, which is incorrect.

I think the author missed "Measure Expression"

You need to configure "Measure Expression" properties for the four measures covered in the steps, in order to make the result correct.

I am not sure whether you have an alternative way to make the result correct without using "Measure Expression".

I reported an issue earlier today on this page. Please disregard my previous post. I missed a critical step and I apologize for any confusion. When I include that step the data and book correspond.

Last Sentence

Last part of the sentence says ".. equal to the inventory level of the last quarter of the month." .. should be "equal to the inventory level of the last MONTH of the QUARTER.".

Cahpter 8

The error is not in the written book put in the downloaded examples.
When you download the example wich explains chapter 8 account intellegence you cannot see calculation in "average unit price" it seems that is because in the accounts parent child attribute in the customRollupColumn there is CustomMembersOption entered and not CustomMembers wich would be the needed formula for the statistical accounts.

Step 6

I am using the Kindle version. This is around location 2355 of the book for kindle.

Step 6 says to Select ProductID from the Name Columns list and then click Next. There is no ProductID in the DimProduct table and could not find instructions on creating the ProductID field. Check the base table in SQL server and there is no ProductID in the DimProduct table.
