2nd bullet point under Governance, Risk, Compliance |
Discuss the possible consequences of failure to adhere to the policies and require-
ments defned by management, both in terms of project failures and personal
culpability, as wells as methods for minimizing the risk of such failures.
In this bullet point it should say in the last line well instead of wells.
Here is the fix:
Discuss the possible consequences of failure to adhere to the policies and require-
ments defned by management, both in terms of project failures and personal
culpability, as well as methods for minimizing the risk of such failures.
Note from the Author or Editor: change wells to well

1st paragraph |
The book states that Windows 7 Home Premium supports 2 physical processors, however it only supports 1 physical processor.
Also, the number of cores is not "unlimited" as the book states. 32bit versions support up to 32 cores while 64bit versions support up to 256 cores per physical processor. This is important as 32 core CPU's are already available.

3rd Line |
The line reads in part:
"...and four for Windows XP R2"
And should read:
"...and four for Windows XP SP2"
The error can lead the reader to think the author intended to write Windows Server 2008 R2, which would be incorrect in this instance.
Note from the Author or Editor: Change R2 to SP2.

On page 151 we read:
The GPO Accelerator is a free download, included as part of the Security Compliance Management Toolkit. When you execute the GPOAccelerator.msi file on a Windows server or workstation, the installer adds a script file called GPOAccelerator.wsf and an executable called GPOAccelerator.exe.
As Microsoft states in the following article, the GPOAccelerator tool has been retired, and replaced by functionality in the Security Compliance Manager. So we cannot download it from Microsoft web site!

This NOTE is completely incorrect!!!! As with the other 70-6xx books, this one states that
"The Windows operating systems do not include the software needed to burn an ISO file to a CD,DVD, or flash drive. You must obtain a third-part software product to do this."
Come on - I pay allot of money for these training books!
Windows 7 DOES INCLUDE software for burning ISO images and .iso files are now a default Windows 7 file type out of the box.

Case 2, Answer 2 |
Case Scenario 2: Fabrikam Software Update Policies
In the case no servers are mentioned on the locations Morwell and Bairnsdale and clients in those locations should use WSUS server in Melbourne to receive updates.
The answer mentions that BranchCache should be turned on and BranchCache Hosted Cache Mode should be turned on to ensure that clients use BranchCache in Hosted Mode for updates.
The right answer should be that BranchCache should be turned on and BranchCache Distributed Cache Mode should be turned on to enable WAN bandwidth optimization because there are no servers in both Morwell and Bairnsdale. Using Windows 7 Enterprise Edition makes this possible.
Note from the Author or Editor: Page 530
Change:
You also need to configure the Turn On BranchCache and Set BranchCache Hosted Cache Mode policies to ensure that clients use BranchCache in Hosted Mode for updates.
to
You also need to configure the Turn On BranchCache and Set BranchCache Distributed Cache Mode policies to ensure that clients use BranchCache in Distributed Cache Mode for updates.
