second tip

It says that to grab the color picker you need to hold ctrl+option+cmd. Unless I'm doing something wrong I pull up this tool by just holding option

File Handling, next to last line on page

explanation of PSD and PSB files says "see page 51" - actually is on the bottom of page 50

2nd para

I suggest that ALL of your original files be given the Read Only attribute (PC) to protect them from inadvertent overwriting. Do the same for new files as appropriate. This should probably be mentioned again whenever "Save As" is mentioned.

This might be a suggestion for CS6: The Save As box could have a place to check to make the new file Read Only.

None of your error categories seemed appropriate, but this seemed closest.

The Open Dialog Box

1st sentence in "The Open Dialog Box": the (Ctrl+O) PC command does not need to be after "File-Open" it is correctly listed after "CMD-O" already.

Omission: keyboard zoom.

for PC:Ctrl-Space changes the cursor to Zoom, then click. The Zoom is centred on the cursor.
Use Ctrl-Alt-Space to Zoom out.

bullet L2

Last sentence: This number, 'L2', is the *length* of the second line. 'A' changes to show the angle between the lines.
Also, the mention of double-click and drag in the previous sentence doesn't make a protractor for me (Windows 7)

6th bulleted ited

Bullet heading "Load Selection from Mask" should be (I think) "Load Mask as Selection."

6th bulleted item

I was wrong in my previous Errata submission. The text item on p.121 is correct, but the label of the icon in Figure 3-28 is then wrong.

Figure 6-30

Image shown in Figure 6-30 does not match the practice file image - just a minor difference, but the practice file doesn't look as good "reflected" as the image in the book

In box, second option from Dave Cross

Instruction 5, using the threshold slider does not work. Does not change the image / turn solid white, when dragged to the left.

Fig 9-24

Would it be possible to show the influence of the Red, Green, & Blue curves on the image?

On the Red curve, if the curve in moved up Red in impacted, move that curve down and Cyan comes into play. On the Green curve when moved up Green in enhanced, move down and it Magenta. Finally on the Blue curve, move the curve up it Blue that's enhanced, down and Yellow in influenced.

This may make it clearer when and why the RGB curves can effect or change the Hue (color).

Thank you

2nd para, 3rd sentence: "You can the size..." word missing? Should be "You can change the size" or "adjust the size"

Last paragraph (step 8)

Where it reads: "Rolled Rag - Terry 120 pixels" (circled in Figure 12-17, bottom), it should reference Figure 12-21 instead.

Top of table and footnotes

In Table 12-1, it reads, "Brush number in Figure 12-26" when it should be Figure 12-31.

What footnotes 1 and 2 refer to is not indicated.

Figure 14-5, second section (Right: Use the ...)

The individual character of sample text ("Vertical") for using the Vertical Type Tool to create text that flows downward should faces to the right instead of to the top.
Example: the character "l" (lower case of letter "L") should look like "一".
I'm unable to figure out how to create a vertical character string going downward other than insert a "carriage return" after each letter.
