It appears that figure 3-14 is showing a repeat of the top section of figure 3-13, with the termination resistance at the driveN end of the transmission line (B). Instead, as I understand the text referring to figure 3-14, it should show termination resistance at the driveR end (A), and perhaps the capacitor mentioned. Note from the Author or Editor: |

It appears to me that the voltage source connected to the Gate in Case E is drawn in reverse. Based on the circuit's intended function to lower the Source voltage (V_S = V_Pwr), the positive terminal of the voltage source should be connected to V_Pwr, and the negative terminal should be connected to the Gate. |
