The second sentence of the 5th paragraph states that the initialization

parameter "applies to both instance recovery and media recovery." The
initialization parameter actually only applies to instance recovery. The
README.doc file located in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/doc states that the Oracle online
documentation incorrectly states that this parameter also applies to media
recovery.

Under 3rd paragraph

The SQL listed reads:
select * from v$sysstat where statistic#='DBWR cross instance writes';

It should read :
the SQL listed says
select * from v$sysstat where name = 'DBWR cross instance writes';
