3.3. Comparative Evaluation of Bioink Materials
In this section, currently available bioink materials are compared and evaluated based on several performance metrics including their (1) compatibility with different bioprinting modalities, (2) bioprintability, (3) biomimicry, (4) resolution, (5) affordability, (6) scalability, (7) practicality, (8) mechanical and structural integrity, (9) bioprinting and postbioprinting maturation times, (10) degradability, (11) commercial availability, (12) immunogenicity, and (13) applications and are summarized in Table 3.2.
