2. Shaping and editing a 3D object
So far we’ve looked at moving an object around in 3D space. In this chapter, we’ll see how we can change the shape of that object, by extruding, twisting and tapering it. We’ll work with the same basic text object we created on page 7.
To make the images here clearer and less cluttered, I’ve hidden the Ground Plane and the Secondary View, and stripped away the window frame so only the object remains on view.
Here’s the object as we left it at the end of the last chapter. It’s selected, and you can see the 3D axis indicator in the middle.
