I said in the Introduction to this book that the 3D facilities of the Windows Presentation Foundation were not designed for graphics-intensive games or the next animated blockbuster movie. Instead, they are intended to let you easily integrate 3D into your WPF applications to provide a richer experience for your users.
I created the programs in this chapter to demonstrate some interesting techniques in 3D graphics, but also to give you some ideas—and perhaps stimulate your imagination—about how 3D can play a role in your own applications.
