About the Author
Dr. Sridhar Ramamoorti, ACA, CPA/CITP/CFF/CGMA, CIA, CFE, CFSA, CGAP, CRMA, CGFM, CICA, CRP, MAFF, is currently an Associate Professor of Accounting and Director, Board Culture & Behavioral Dynamics, Corporate Governance Center at Kennesaw State University (KSU). Possessing a blended academic-practitioner background, Dr. Ramamoorti is a respected thought leader and prolific speaker in the areas of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)and has published widely.
Dr. Ramamoorti received a bachelor's degree in commerce and a diploma in mathematics and statistics from Bombay University, India, before qualifying as a chartered accountant. After working for Ernst & Whinney in the Middle East, he earned a Ph.D. in quantitative psychology at Ohio State University. He then served on the accountancy faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for several years. Returning to professional accounting practice, he joined the professional standards group of Arthur Andersen & Co. at the firm's Chicago world headquarters. Subsequently, he was affiliated with the fraud investigation and dispute services practice of Ernst & Young before becoming a corporate governance partner at Grant Thornton. Prior to joining the KSU faculty, he was a principal with Infogix, Inc., and continues to be a GRC consultant to the company.
