Thomas G. Donlan is Editorial Page Editor at Barron’s National Business and Financial Weekly and has been writing about economics, business, and politics in his Editorial Commentary columns since 1992. He covered Washington for the magazine from 1981 to 1991. A graduate of Hamilton College and Indiana University, he attended Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs on a fellowship for journalists funded by the Sloan Foundation. He has written two other books on technology policy and on the decline of the private pension system. As a well-known writer on a wide variety of issues, he is often sought after for his opinions by major media.
