Chapter 33. Using Your PC with a Portable Music Player

One of the hottest consumer electronics gadgets today is the portable music player, sometimes called an MP3 player. I'm not talking about the old Sony Walkman or even about portable CD players. These new players store thousands of digital audio files on micro hard drives or in flash memory, and can fit in the palm of your hand.

What's cool about these portable players is that they get their songs from your computer. The music you rip from CD or download from the Internet is transferred from your PC to the portable audio player. You can even use your PC to organize the player's songs into playlists!
