Chapter 5. Saving and Sharing Files

IN THIS CHAPTER

The best thing about working with digital images is that you can preserve all the detail of an image as a file, and copy or back that file up as many times as you like. The quality of the digital image won’t degenerate as the file is opened, copied, or closed, or while it is just biding its time on your computer’s hard drive.

Saving a file also means you can share it with others. You can send an image file in an email or publish it on a Web page. This chapter shows you all the ins and outs of saving files, whether you want to print them or share them on the Web.
