Chapter 6 Phase 5: Encouraging Team Members to Experiment with Solutions

DOI: 10.4324/9781003348658-6

What is the fifth phase of the accelerated action learning model (AALM)? The fifth phase is the point where team members experiment with solutions to business problems, design, develop and implement a training effort, formulate, and implement a vision, or work to achieve a business goal (see Exhibit 6.1). Experiments attempt to address the issue that prompted the need for the AAL team’s work. Think of this step as consisting of one or more pilot tests. It is an application of rapid prototyping. It can be the heart of the accelerated action learning (AAL) experience.
