Administrative Templates
One of the most powerful options for managing user desktops with group policies is to use administrative templates. Administrative templates are used to configure registry settings on computers running Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional, or Windows Server 2003. Administrative templates can be used to configure a great variety of settings— there are over 700 different settings available.
Because so many configuration options are available with group policies, this section cannot possibly cover all of them. Table 13-7 provides an overview of just a few administrative template selections to give you an idea of the power of group policies.
