Chapter 22. Exporting EDLs and the Project Manager

With version 1.5, Premiere Pro provides a new degree of portability and flexibility. One of the most important reasons is the Project Manager, with which you can consolidate, back up, and trim your project to its essential elements. (See Figure 22.1.) Another is Premiere Pro 1.5’s support of exporting and importing EDLs (edit decision lists) and AAF (advanced authoring format) files. If you anticipate your project may be edited on multiple nonlinear editing systems, then the EDL and AAF options can help secure your experience passing from one application to another.
