So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 20. Interacting with Email
ColdFusion’s main purpose is to create dynamic, data-driven Web pages. But it also provides a set of email-related tags that let you send email messages that are just as dynamic and data-driven as your Web pages. You can also write ColdFusion templates that check and retrieve email messages, and even respond to them automatically.

<cfmail> sends standard, Internet-style email messages using the Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP). SMTP isn’t explained in detail in this book; for now, all you need to know about SMTP is that it’s the standard for sending email on the Internet.
