I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Die Serifen, oder Endstriche, an den Zeichen gehen wahrscheinlich auf die frühe Römerzeit zurück. Father Edward Catich stellt in seiner Schrift “The Origin of the Serif” die These auf, daß die Serifen ihren Ursprung darin haben, daß Zeichen zunächst auf den Stein gepinselt und dann gemeißelt wurden. Serifenoder Roman-Schriften sind für den Fließtext nützlich, da die Serifen das Erkennen der einzelnen Zeichen erleichtern und das Auge an der Textzeile entlang führen. Serifenschriften werden wie im folgenden beschrieben in vier Hauptkategorien unterteilt: Venezianische Renaissance-Antiqua, Französische Renaissance-Antiqua, Barock-Antiqua und Klassizistische Antiqua.
