Preface
This book is dedicated to radar engineers and scientists with a pronounced interest in phased array systems. More explicitly, we consider current systems and their precursors as well as systems that are in the proposal/planning/developmental stages. While the first two sets of systems help the reader reconstruct the vector of evolution, the consideration of future systems provides the reader with a philosophy of minimum surprises. Future systems are based on proposals that promote the innovation process and prototypes bridge the gap between proposals and production models.
