7.1 Chapter Overview

In Chapter 6, we covered the basic mapping from IDL to C++—that is, how each IDL type appears at the C++ level. In addition to using IDL types, clients deal with object references, invoke operations on objects, and handle exceptions raised by operations. This chapter covers these topics in detail.
