In this chapter, an activist engaged patient who has an expert-level understanding of what technology can, and cannot, accomplish in strengthening clinician–patient (family) shared decision-making and teamwork for health will summarize three examples of where patient engagement with the assistance of technology has improved patient care, improved health care quality, and either improved the clinical outcome or avoided a worse outcomes.
