CI/CD stands for both continuous integration and delivery, and continuous integration and deployment. Continuous delivery consists of processes that compile, or otherwise prepare, code into a suitable release, while continuous deployment installs or updates existing applications (typically on servers) through automated processes. CI/CD continues to mature and widen its scope, from low-level development concerns to central platform operations.
