It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
6. Optimal power flow test systems vis-à-vis simulation results
The modified IEEE 30-bus test power system is undertaken for this study, and its SLD is referred to as Fig. 5C in the Appendix. The values of the control
variables besides bus data, line data, and corresponding variable limits are taken from Ref. [58]. In this work, the CAB algorithm is tested to solve the OPF problem for the modified IEEE 30-bus test case system. The code is developed with MATLAB 2008a computing software tools on a 3.9
GHz Intel Turbo i5 Laptop with 8
GB RAM. Interesting results are boldfaced in tables to ascertain the potential of the CAB concept with 30 independent test runs.
